Delicious chicken skewers marinated in a sweet and spicy sauce, served with a refreshing cilantro lime dip.

- 680 g boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into cubes
- 80 ml honey
- 2 jalapeños, finely chopped (seeds removed for less heat)
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- ½ tsp chili flakes (optional)
- Salt & black pepper, to taste
- 120 g sour cream or Greek yogurt
- Zest & juice of 1 lime
- 2 tbsp fresh cilantro, finely chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- Salt, to taste
Instructions
- Prepare the Marinade: In a bowl, whisk together honey, jalapeños, soy sauce, olive oil, garlic, smoked paprika, chili flakes, salt, and pepper.
- Marinate the Chicken: Add chicken pieces to the marinade and toss to coat. Marinate for at least 15 minutes (up to 2 hours for more flavor).
- Make the Dip: Mix sour cream, lime zest, lime juice, cilantro, garlic, and salt until smooth. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
- Assemble Skewers: Thread marinated chicken onto skewers.
- Cook: Grill over medium-high heat or cook on a grill pan for 12–15 minutes, turning occasionally, until cooked through and slightly caramelized.
- Serve: Serve hot with the cilantro lime dip on the side.
Notes
- For a spicier flavor, leave the seeds in the jalapeños.
- Chicken can be marinated overnight for a deeper flavor.
