- 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
- ¼ teaspoon ground cloves
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup pumpkin puree
- ½ cup vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ¾ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a 9×5 inch loaf pan with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the pumpkin puree, granulated sugar, brown sugar, oil, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Add the flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves. Stir gently until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips, reserving a small handful to sprinkle on top.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Smooth the top and sprinkle remaining chocolate chips over it.
- Bake for 55–65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- This bread can be stored in an airtight container for up to a week.
- For an extra touch, add nuts or seeds into the batter.
