This delicious bread pudding is made with stale bread, milk, eggs, and a hint of cinnamon, perfect for a comforting dessert.
Ingredients

- 4 cups stale bread (day-old French bread or brioche), cubed
- 2 cups whole milk
- 4 large eggs
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar (or brown sugar)
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 2 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup dried fruit (raisins or cranberries) – optional
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish with butter or nonstick spray.
- In a large bowl, cut stale bread into 1-inch cubes and set aside to dry slightly.
- In another bowl, whisk together milk, eggs, sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla until smooth.
- Pour the custard mixture over the bread cubes and gently fold until all pieces are soaked without becoming mushy.
- If using dried fruit, fold it into the mixture now.
- Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and bake for 45-50 minutes until golden brown on top.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving. Drizzle with cream or serve with ice cream for an indulgent treat.
