Description

Delicious and spicy beef fajitas served with fresh vegetables and optional toppings.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground cumin
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 yellow onion (thinly sliced)
  • 1 green bell pepper (thinly sliced)
  • 1 red bell pepper (thinly sliced)
  • 1 orange or yellow bell pepper (thinly sliced)
  • Serving: tortillas or rice, avocado/guacamole, salsa, sour cream, shredded cheese, jalapeños, hot sauce, etc.

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the ground beef and cook, stirring to break apart, until browned.
  3. Add in all spices and stir well to coat. Continue cooking for another 2-3 minutes.
  4. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside. Drain the grease.
  5. Add in vegetable oil, onion, and bell peppers.
  6. Sauté over medium heat until vegetables are tender, about 8-10 minutes.
  7. Add beef back in and stir well.
  8. Remove from heat.
  9. Serve in tortillas with desired toppings.

Notes

  • Feel free to adjust the spices to your taste.
  • This dish can be made ahead of time and reheated for easy meals.
