Description

Delicious and easy-to-make Italian-inspired rolled tortillas with savory meats and creamy cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large Flour Tortillas (whole wheat for a healthier twist)
  • 6 oz Genoa Salami (or capicola as an alternative)
  • 6 oz Prosciutto/Deli Ham (or lean ham for a lighter option)
  • 8 oz Provolone Cheese (substitute with mozzarella if preferred)
  • 1 cup Romaine Lettuce (can also use spinach or arugula)
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese (reduced-fat can be used)
  • 1/4 cup Pepperoncini (or diced pickles as a substitute)
  • 1/4 cup Sun-Dried Tomatoes (or fresh tomatoes can be used)
  • 1/4 cup Basil Pesto (homemade or store-bought)
  • 1 tsp Dried Basil (fresh basil can brighten the taste)
  • 1 tsp Dried Oregano
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder (fresh minced garlic can be used)
  • to taste Black Pepper
  • to taste Salt

Instructions

  1. Prepare Lettuce: Rinse romaine lettuce under cold water, pat dry, and remove thick center veins for pliability.
  2. Mix Cream Cheese Spread: Combine softened cream cheese, pepperoncini, sun-dried tomatoes, dried basil, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt for a smooth mixture.
  3. Assemble Tortillas: Spread the cream cheese mixture over a tortilla, leaving half an inch from the edges, and repeat with remaining tortillas.
  4. Layer Ingredients: On each tortilla, layer provolone cheese, Genoa salami, prosciutto, and romaine lettuce down the center.
  5. Roll and Chill: Roll each tortilla tightly, wrap in plastic wrap, and chill for at least 1-2 hours.
  6. Slice and Serve: Unwrap and slice into bite-sized rounds approximately 1 to 1 inches thick, and serve after resting for 10-15 minutes.
