Description

A delicious dessert made with fresh strawberries and cream cheese.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine the strawberries with 1/4 cup of sugar and set aside.
  3. In another bowl, mix the cream cheese and the remaining sugar until smooth.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Add the milk and melted butter to the dry ingredients, and mix until just combined.
  6. Spread the batter into a greased baking dish.
  7. Evenly distribute the strawberry mixture on top of the batter.
  8. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
  9. Let cool slightly before serving.
