Description

A delightful appetizer combining the sweetness of pears with creamy goat cheese on toasted baguette slices.


Ingredients

  • 1 French baguette (sliced diagonally into 12 pieces)
  • 2 ripe Bosc or Anjou pears (thinly sliced)
  • 4 oz goat cheese (softened)
  • 1/2 cup walnuts (toasted and roughly chopped)
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp balsamic glaze

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Arrange baguette slices on the baking sheet; brush one side with olive oil and toast for 8-10 minutes until golden brown.
  3. While the bread is toasting, prepare the pears and walnuts.
  4. Spread goat cheese generously on each toasted slice, then top with pear slices and chopped walnuts.
  5. Drizzle honey and balsamic glaze over each piece before serving warm.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, consider adding a sprinkle of sea salt on top before serving.
