Description

Delicious puff pastry pinwheels filled with ham and cheese, perfect as an appetizer or snack.


Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed if frozen)
  • 68 slices deli ham
  • 68 slices cheddar or Swiss cheese
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard (optional)
  • 1 tbsp poppy seeds or sesame seeds (optional topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out puff pastry on a lightly floured surface. Spread Dijon mustard if using.
  3. Layer ham and cheese evenly over the pastry.
  4. Starting from one edge, roll tightly into a log.
  5. Slice log into ½–¾ inch pinwheels and place on prepared baking sheet.
  6. Brush tops with beaten egg and sprinkle seeds if desired.
  7. Bake 15–18 minutes, or until golden brown and cheese is melted.
  8. Cool slightly before serving.
