Description

A delicious and comforting ground beef casserole layered with potatoes and topped with cheese.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 4 medium potatoes, sliced
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • optional: vegetables like green beans or corn

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Place the seasoned ground beef at the bottom of a layered casserole dish.
  3. Add a layer of sliced potatoes on top of the beef.
  4. Sprinkle the chopped onion over the potatoes.
  5. Pour the cream of mushroom soup evenly over the layers.
  6. Add any desired additional vegetables.
  7. Top with shredded cheese.
  8. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 1 hour.
  9. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  10. Let it cool slightly before serving.
